Her impressive expertise in school and non-profit management, trauma-informed practices, social-emotional learning, and culturally responsive practices enables her to skillfully address the unique needs of diverse student and staff populations, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. Alicia is passionate about closing the opportunity gap, at the intersection of social justice and social emotional learning.
Will Collins
William (Will) Collins is a prominent educator and senior non-profit executive, currently serving as the Chief External Affairs Officer for the Surge Institute. The Surge Institute's mission is to bolster the diverse talent pipeline and ensure representation of underrepresented populations in education reform and equity efforts. As Chief External Affairs Officer, William is instrumental in driving Surge's revenue and growth, having raised over $25M since 2018 to support their programs and expansion. His journey from Corporate America to teaching economics in the Chicago Public Schools led him to the non-profit sector, where he now actively contributes to multiple boards and community organizations, dedicated to making a positive impact on urban youth and communities.
